LSS 2014 Organising Committee

On 16th July 2014, the 2014 edition of Leadership Summer School will welcome the participants on the Asian side of the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The event will be organised by EMSA Yeditepe, together with Zero Generation and other partners.

EMSA Yeditepe is the local group of EMSA at Yeditepe University, Istanbul Turkey. EMSA Yeditepe is one of the most active and enthusiastic Faculty Member Organisation of EMSA Europe. The main aim when joining this volunteer-based organisation was to represent the Yeditepe University Faculty of Medecine and country in Europe with all of the projects that are being managed every year.

EMSA Yeditepe has organised several international event such as National Coordinators’&.Enthusiasts Meeting 2010 , EMSA General Assembly 2012, Bologna Process Workshop 2011 and last, but not least, Training Center of Excellence, which is organised and hosted every year by EMSA-Yeditepe; troughout this training programme, experienced EMSA trainers are delivering sessions on personal development and participants have a chance to get a certificate as a new EMSA trainer at the end of this week.

About EMSA

The European Medical Students’ Association seeks to improve the health and quality of care of the citizens of Europe, by acting as a conduit for increased interaction and sharing of knowledge between European medical students in the fields of medical education, medical ethics, medical science, public health and European integration.
EMSA has currently active Faculty Member Organizstions in 26 countries throughout geographical Europe. Moreover, EMSA is proud to have strong student partners and professional partners within Europe as well as outside Europe. EMSA’s activities have been endorsed by the European Commission in 2005.

Yeditepe University

Yeditepe University was established in 1996 by ISTEK Foundation  with the fundamental aim of creating a center of excellence in higher education and research. The name “Yeditepe” means  seven hills as Istanbul is known as the city on the seven hills . The University campus has been placed with its unique Seljuk architecture, in an area of 225 thousand square meters on the Anatolian side of Istanbul.

Having been introduced to our Organisation Committee and out host univeristy, you are now invited to check your agendas, book the dates, prepare for your application and explore potential routes as this Summer, you will be expected in Istanbul!
