LSS 2017 Organising Committee

The LSS 2017 Organising committee is Effemine, a Hungarian student organisation presented below…

effemine lss 2017 oc

Effemine – Association for Young Women is the first and only student union for female students and recently graduated women in Hungary, assisting them in reaching their ultimate carrier goals and potentials. The main objective of the organisation is to enhance the employability of its young members and help them developing and taking full advantage of their skills.

The association provides help and guidance for female collage students to build and responsibly plan their future career. To achieve the above aims, Effemine organises self-awareness and soft skill development training programs on a weekly basis, invites people in leading positions, real role models to share their experiences in order to inspire the young members.

The organisational framework is similar to the typical structure of a company: members work in project groups and each of them has one or more duties. This enables them to face issues that might be challenging without practice: how organisational development and strategic planning work in practice.

Leadership Summer School celebrates its 10th birthday this year and it’s an honour for us to have the opportunity to organise the event here in Budapest. This anniversary is also special, because LSS idea was generated in Budapest about 10 years ago, so this year our capital city could be a worthy venue of the training events organised for the future leaders.

Herve Tunga – LSS Adviser, Zero Generation founder and Alumnus of BEST

Zero Generation and Scoala de Valori – first project together

In January 2016 – Herve and Lyda from Zero Generation, the founder organisation of Leadership Summer School, were guest trainers in the Train the Trainers conference for the Grow project developed by Scoala de Valori – implemented together with AIESEC Romania. Grow is the biggest international non-formal education project for teenagers in Romania. It was a mind-blowing opportunity to work together on the TTT and level up both as trainers and participants. This was the first time we got together after LSS 2015, in Slovenia, and while training the Winter Grow trainers we also started planning LSS 2016.

In the picture besides (from right to left) Herve, Lyda and Armina, there is also Adina, alumna of BEST, who met Herve back in 2011 when LSS was organised for the first time in Romania, in Cluj-Napoca. This year we will get together again, joined by more trainers, in Leadership Summer School 2016, in Pitesti, Romania. Be ready to level up!

LSS 2015 – Maribor, Slovenia Snapshots

LSS 2015 theme was: Leader with a cause – and Milda L. created an expressive graphic board of the whole adventure:

LSS 2015 Organising Committee

BISTRI UM – Zavod za podjetnost mladih Maribor (SMART MINDS – ASSOCIATION FOR PROACTIVE/ENTREPRENEURIAL YOUTH MARIBOR) in its core focuses on empowering young people with proactive and entrepreneurial thinking in order to face the challenging job market of today. Association is the successor entity of the sole entrepreneur status of the founder, e.i. the upgrade entity that combines the coaching, educational and promotional capacities and has engaged in forming a team of young co-workers, professionals in the field of PR, career coaching & consulting and project management with the objective to offer necessary support to individuals at the beginning of their careers or at the early stages of development of their businesses.

logoThe associations’ mission is to promote building on the entrepreneurial mindset and networking among youth early and during educational years – as a crucial feature to have later for any young  person or young professional, whether they start solo career, are employed elsewhere or engage in voluntary work.

Recent project was launched in cooperation with the national TV, when the association initiated and produced an educational TV series called “First euro” (20 episodes throughout the 2014) which covered different skills useful for young employment-seekers or those starting their solo entrepreneurship careers (from CVs, interviews, business models, negotiations, job interviews, success stories, etc.). As LSS 2015 Organising Committee, Bistri Um, will act as a logistical team for all components to host LSS participants as smoothly as possible.
